Tuesday 11 October 2005 - Greens feeling gr-EIGHT

The record books were rewritten last night when S&O thumped Smugglers Inn 8-0 to record their biggest ever win. Mark Likeman got four, while Neil Taylor, Alan Smith, Dean Pugh and even Phil Ouzman scored for Smith & Ouzman.

Next weeks opponents, Is Your Sister Athletic picked up 3 points as well to keep the presure one SOFC as they won 5-0 against Sporting HMD.

Tuesday 04 October 2005 - Cup Dream Begins

SOFC started their cup campaign with a 6-2 victory over Division 2 rivals, MetalTech CST. Having already beaten the white 1-0 this season in a tough fought game, the Greens expected another tough game.

Phil Ouzman and Chris Healy were missing, so starting places were given to Dean Pugh who returned from Holiday, and Murray Hicks. Mark Likeman, Neil Taylor, Alan Smith and Dean Pugh got the goals for the Greens, while Courtier did his bit in saving a penalty. Hicks was making his first start of the season.

Tuesday 27 September 2005 - Green draw against Cavendish

Smith and Ouzman dropped their first points of the season against 5 man Cavendish Barcelona, who had one of the keepers who you just cant beat. Mark Likeman got the goal for the Greens, who remain top of Division 2.

Tuesday 20 September 2005 - Greens Equal Scoring Record

SOFC equalled their biggest ever win last night when they put 7 past Sporting HMD. The Greens started off the better team, and played their best football of the season so far. The Greens now have the best goal difference in the league, which will help them later on in the season.

The win also boosts confidence in the camp, which are already at an all-time-high.

But the Greens where dealt a blow before kick-off when they were told that photographer Adrian Yeo was in hospital with a suspected blood clot near his lung. All the players would like to wish him all the best and hopes he makes a speedy recovery.

Monday 19 September 2005 - Local Derby

Smith & Ouzman take on neighbours Sporting HMD tonight with a chance to distance themselves from the chasing pack. The Greens can continue their run of good form with victory tonight.

So far the Greens have a 100% record in the league and would love that to continue. Manager Dean Pugh has the luxury of having a full team to pick from.

Monday 12 September 2005 - No Game

Smith & Ouzman do not have a game tonight due to VM Morrisons pulling out of the league. Football Mundial have yet to decide if they are going to replace VM Morrisons, reduce the League to 7 teams, or reward everyone with 3 points and a 3-0 victory.

Smith & Ouzman would have had a full strength team to pick from tonight, but will now have to wait till next week when neighbours Sporting HMD are the opponents.

Tuesday 06 September 2005 - Greens kick off with win

Smith & Ouzman started their League just how everyone wanted, with 3 points. They were made to fight for everyball, and although having most of the chances, found it hard to get past the MetalTech goalkeeper who had an outstanding game, and was unlucky to finish on the losing team.

In the end it was Mark Likeman's goal that clinched the points for the Greens as they look towards keeping up with the top teams at this early part of the season.

Monday 05 September 2005 - Greens begin 5th Season

Smith & Ouzman will tonight kick off their Winter League 2005-06 campaign against MetalTech CST. The hard working team play in their season, and were the last team to play the Greens in the League. That night the Greens ran out 7-0 winners. Although SOFC would love a great start like that, they are expecting a tough scrap for 3 vital points.

Alan Smith returns to the team from holiday, Neil Taylor looks set to miss tonight's game through work.

Tuesday 23 August 2005 - Greens Suffer Semi Final Heartache

Eventual winners, Real Ale Madrid, dashed Smith and Ouzman's Cup hopes in the Semi Final. After coming from behind with 30 seconds to go, the Greens drew 1-1 with Division 1 Champions Full House, Smith and Ouzman won 7-6 after a Penalty Shoot-out marathon. The Greens then went into the Semi Final with hopes of a place in the Final, but where beaten 2-0 by a very quick and energetic Real Ale Madrid side.

Smith and Ouzman now look to the Winter League 2005/06, for what will be the fifth campaign in the Football Mundial League.

Monday 22 August 2005 - Cup Finals Tonight

Tonight is the Cup Finals Night. The final day of the Summer Season 2005 is here. Smith and Ouzman FC are ready for their Quarter Final match against Full House, who are Division 1 Champions. "The team is still not decided yet, we have 6 players so far, but I would like another just incase we get through." said manager Dean Pugh.

We continue our look at each SOFC player, todays turn is Goalkeeper Christian Courtier, who played a huge part in SOFC's current good form.
