Smith and Ouzman claimed the Division 1 title for the first time in their history last night with their first win over arch rivals JPH. The Greens claimed their second League Title in as many years, using the same eight players throughout both seasons. Tuesday 11 April 2006 - Harvester Nowhere To Be Seen |
Smith and Ouzman had an eventful day yesterday. At 11 am, the Greens were down to the bare bones with top scorers Mark Likeman and Neil Taylor both unavailable for selection because they were selected for Willingdon's League match. Then by noon, their game was called off and were available again, meaning manager Dean Pugh had a full squad to pick from, although Christian Courtier was still unable to play in goal. All 8 players turned up at cross-levels way on time, shame Harvester didn't. Smith and Ouzman were awarded a goal for every 5 minutes that Harvester were late, until after 15 minutes, the game and a 3-0 win was awarded to Smith & Ouzman. The luck was with SOFC as both Humphrey & Co and JPH lost, leaving the Greens 3 points clear at the top. With no games next week due to the Bank Holiday, the Greens next match is against Cavendish Barcelona on Monday 24th April. Click Here, to read the Full Match Report. |

The Greens keep their Cup Hopes in their own hands now, knowing a win in the final game by two clear goals should put them through. The Greens need to better their goal difference to make sure the go through. It could get complicated, should Smugglers beat Harvester. Any other results, including a Green win, would ensure SOFC qualify for the Quarter Finals. Click Here, to read the Full Match Report. |
